The Massimo & Sonia Cirulli Archive was founded in New York in 1984 by Massimo P. Cirulli. It is a private historical archive which has been devoting itself to 20th century Italian art for more than twenty years.

The Massimo & Sonia Cirulli Archive mission is to increase knowledge and appreciation of XXth century Italian art, in Italy and abroad.

Our main issue is to make the Archive available to those people and institutions interested in studying XXth century Italian art as a source to draw on and contribute to distincive exhibitions. On this account the Archive lends works each year to temporary exhibitions in Italy and abroad. The Archive also disposes of a huge photograph data base from which it is possible to borrow pictures of the works.

The programme of loans of works, photographs and touring exhibitions to other institutions supports the Archive extensive research in the XXth century Italian art field and the conservation of the works.
